Alfonso Pedraza
Alfonso Pedraza was born in San Sebastián de los Ballesteros, Córdoba, on April 9, 1996.
He joined the Villarreal youth academy in 2011, aged 15, and progressed through the club's youth system before making his first-team debut against Valencia in March 2015. He subsequently gained experience on loan with Lugo, Alavés, Leeds United and Real Betis.
Pedraza returned to Villarreal in 2019 and established himself as a versatile left-sided player, capable of playing both as a full-back and further forward. He was an important member of the side that won the Europa League in 2021, and also helped Villarreal reach the Champions League semi-finals in 2022. He made 234 first-team appearances for Villarreal, scoring 14 goals.
His performances earned him his only Spain cap during the 2023-24 season. After 15 years with Villarreal, he left the club at the end of the 2025-26 season.
On July 3, 2026, Pedraza joined Lazio on a permanent transfer, signing a three-year contract. He became Gennaro Gattuso's new left-sided defensive option and was given the number 23 shirt.
