He began his football development with Chievo Verona before joining Inter's youth academy in 2013. He became one of the most promising forwards in the club's youth system, helping the Primavera side win the league title in 2016-17 and 2017-18, as well as the 2018 Viareggio Cup and Coppa Italia Primavera. He made his senior debut for Inter during the 2016-17 season.

In 2018, Pinamonti moved to Frosinone on loan, scoring five goals in 27 Serie A appearances. He subsequently played for Genoa before returning to Inter in 2020. After a season in which he won the Serie A title, he moved to Empoli on loan for 2021-22, scoring 13 goals in 36 league appearances.

In 2022, Pinamonti joined Sassuolo, initially on loan before the transfer became permanent. He scored 20 Serie A goals across his first two seasons with the Neroverdi. In 2024-25, he returned to Genoa on loan and scored 10 league goals in 36 appearances. He then went back to Sassuolo, helping the club return to Serie A and scoring nine goals during the 2025-26 league campaign.

Pinamonti has also represented Italy at several youth levels. He was part of the Under-20 side that finished fourth at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, scoring four goals in the tournament, and subsequently played for the Under-21 team.

On August 27, 2026, Pinamonti joined Lazio permanently from Sassuolo, moving to the capital as an established Serie A striker. He was assigned the number nine shirt. The move marked a new chapter in his career, with the forward looking to establish himself at a club competing at the highest level of Italian football.
