He started his career with Novara where he played from 1909 to 1912. He arrived at Lazio for the 1913-14 season since he was doing his military service in Rome. A great year for the Biancocelesti who reached the national finals but beaten by Casale. He was one of the best defenders of the season.

He returned to Novara after his military service and he went back into the army when Italy joined World War I. He was seriously wounded on August 17, 1916. He died on January 4 1919 following the serious injuries in a hospital in Udine.

In 1921 he was awarded the Bronze Medal for Military Valour (conferred in 1921) with the following citation:

As commander of a battalion during one of our successful offensive operations, he gave outstanding proof of energy, courage, and uncommon disregard for danger in leading his unit in pursuit of the enemy, during which he was seriously wounded. He had already distinguished himself in previous actions — Oppacchiasella, August 1916.
