Danilho Doekhi


Danilho Raimundo Doekhi was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on June 30, 1998.
He began playing football with XerxesDZB before joining the Excelsior youth academy. He made his professional debut for Excelsior in the Eredivisie in 2016, before moving to Ajax, where he spent two seasons with Jong Ajax.
In 2018, Doekhi joined Vitesse Arnhem. He established himself as a regular in the Vitesse defence, making 111 league appearances and scoring four goals over four seasons. He also played in European competition, including the 2021-22 UEFA Europa Conference League campaign.
In July 2022, he moved to Union Berlin. Doekhi quickly became an important member of the German club's defence, making 117 Bundesliga appearances and scoring 13 goals in four seasons. He also played in the Europa League and Champions League, making a total of 137 competitive appearances and scoring 16 goals for Union.
Doekhi left Union Berlin at the end of the 2025-26 season and joined Lazio on July 14, 2026, signing a three-year contract. The 1.90m centre-back arrived as a free agent and became one of the club's defensive reinforcements under Gennaro Gattuso.
Doekhi has represented the Netherlands at youth level, including five appearances for the Under-21 side, but had not made his senior international debut by the time he moved to Lazio.
