Elseid Hysaj

Updated: Apr 6

Elseid Hysaj, born in Scutari on February 2, 1994, is an Albanian footballer who plays as full back for Lazio and the Albanian national team.

Hysaj is a very useful player that can play both left back and right back without any problem. He started his career in the youth teams of Empoli and debuted professionally on October 20 2012 in Serie B. His first game in Serie A came on August 31, 2014. He played four years with Empoli before moving to Naples where he stayed for six seasons reaching 222 appearances with one goal.

In the summer of 2021 he became a free agent and signed for Lazio. His first season was not very positive but in 2022-23 he was one of the best players as the Biancocelesti built an iron defence and from being an alternative on either wing, he became a titular player.

So far, not counting the current season, he has made 81 appearances for Lazio with two goals.
