Lazio 1907-08

Perugia Trophy: This match, played during an interprovincial gymnastics competition in Perugia, is remembered because when Lazio was leading 5–0 in the 30th minute of the first half, the organizers asked them to consider the game finished due to their clear superiority and because the event schedule was running late. The players were awarded diplomas and bottles of wine as prizes.

Coppa Tosti: The Coppa Tosti stipulated that Lazio would have to face Roman twice and Virtus once. In reality, the Biancocelesti played only one match against Roman, winning 5–3. The other match against Roman was supposed to be played on February 16, 1908, but it did not take place because Roman failed to show up, and Lazio was awarded the win by default. The same thing happened with the match against Virtus scheduled for March 29, 1908.

Viscogliosi Baccelli Cup: Despite the fact that Lazio played this tournament with their reserves team, there was one match where the first eleven played. Which they won.

INEF Centre-South-North Challenge: There is little information about this tournament in the newspapers of the time. Nevertheless, news of this Roman tournament is very important because, contrary to what is generally believed, Lazio were already participating in nationally significant football events as early as 1908. In fact, the tournament included Juventus of Turin, U.S. Milanese, Naples, and Lazio. The Biancocelesti won the Rome playoff against Roman but then lost heavily with US Milanese. The lack of players available for the third match meant that they could not play with Naples.

Interregional Pisa Tournament: The Tuscan Committee invited Lazio, as winners of the Roman championship, to take part in an interregional tournament in Pisa. The tournament scheduled a series of matches over four days, featuring Foot-ball Club Spezia, Virtus Juventusque Livorno, Foot-ball Club Lucca, Spes Livorno, Forza e Coraggio of Pisa, and Lazio itself. Due to poor organization and the desire of the Tuscan teams to face Lazio, the Biancocelesti were forced—an almost unique case in football history—to play against three of the participating teams on the same day. They won all three.
