Lazio Jersey 1965-66

For this season Lazio had four different jerseys. A classic sky-blue with a round white collar, similar to the previous season, in long sleeves and short sleeves, a white short sleeve one with a sky-blue v neck, plus a completely different one.
It is one of the more unusual designs in the club's history. Rather than the traditional one, Lazio adopted a white shirt crossed by a diagonal sky-blue sash, a style strongly reminiscent of River Plate. The design was part of a broader fashion in Italian football during the 1960s, with clubs including Torino, Inter, Bologna and Roma also experimenting with diagonal bands inspired by South American football. The design was retained for selected matches during 1965–66 rather than becoming the team's permanent shirt. The jersey consisted of a white body with a single oblique sky-blue band, complemented by a white crew neck and white cuffs. The result was a striking departure from Lazio's conventional all-sky-blue appearance while still incorporating the club's traditional colour.
