Romano Floriani
Romano Floriani Mussolini was born in Rome on January 27, 2003. The son of Alessandra Mussolini and Mauro Floriani, he grew up in a well-known Italian family. His grandfather, Romano Mussolini, was a pianist and composer, while his great-aunt is the celebrated actress Sophia Loren.
Floriani began his football career in Roma's youth academy before joining Lazio in 2016. A right-back who can also play further forward, he progressed through the Biancocelesti youth system and signed his first professional contract in 2021. He was also educated at St. George's British International School in Rome — the same school attended by the two editors of Lazio Stories.
In August 2023, Lazio sent Floriani on loan to Pescara, where he made 28 league appearances in Serie C and a further two in the play-offs. He then spent the 2024-25 season with Juve Stabia, making 36 Serie B appearances and scoring once, before joining Cremonese on loan for the 2025-26 season. With Cremonese, he made his Serie A debut in August 2025, playing 29 games.
He returned to Lazio for the 2026-27 season and debuted on August 24 substituting Adam Marusic.
