Como dominate at the Olimpico against a completely helpless Lazio

There is not really much to say about this game. Como dominate possession from start to finish. Every time Lazio tried to do something they lost the ball and Como began playing again with one touch passes among each other as if they were toying with the Biancocelesti.

The visitors had been lucky on their first two chances scoring from both thanks to a deflection off Alessio Romagnoli on a Martin Baturina shot after two minutes, Nico Paz took advantage of another casual deflection from the Lazio defender to score again in the 24th. They could have even made it three in the first half but Ivan Provedel saved a Nico Paz penalty in the 35th minute. The third one came anyway in the 49th again with the young Argentinian following a splendid play from Baturina.

The only thing that Lazio could muster was a chance at the end of the first half when Mattia Zaccagni had a massive opportunity but he decided to change foot and shot at the keeper.

This defeat was humiliating. The Biancocelesti just could not find the way to stop Como's possession. In this case, perhaps a change in the 4-3-3 line up could have given Lazio more players at midfield where they were systematically outnumbered, but that did not happen.

It looked as if neither the players nor the manager had learnt anything from the previous encounters with Como.
