He played for Lazio from 1958-1968.

He was a solid and strong goalkeeper but also agile. He excelled in low dives as his powerful legs enabled him to make seemingly impossible saves. He continued the tradition of top Lazio keepers such as Ezio Scavi, Uber Gradella, Lucidio Sentiment IV and Bob Lovati.

He was formed in the academy and then played for Lazio from 1945-1956. He then stayed on at Lazio in the youth set up and was also assistant to Juan Carlos Lorenzo in 1963-64. He was a reliable and tough defender whose main asset was his ability to anticipate the opposing forwards. He could also play the ball out well from the back. He made up the so-called "Iron defence" with defenders Furiassi, Malacarne, Alzani and Sentimenti IV which enabled Lazio to finish 4th in Serie A for three consecutive seasons.

He took part in the 1948 Olympics with Italy.

From Morlupo, just outside Rome, he was a proud Laziale. The village's rugby ground is named after him.

He was with Lazio from 2011-2016.

He had cult status at Lazio almost as if people could not quite believe such a formidable international star was playing for the Biancocelesti. He had five good seasons despite several injuries. He scored a 93rd minute derby winner and was in the team that defeated bitter rivals Roma on May 26, 2013, to win the Coppa Italia.

A superb forward. He had technique, positioning, speed, excellent aerial skills, opportunism, altruism and could score goals. At the Lazio stage of his career, he also had the intelligence to dose his energies on the field.

He had previously played for Kaiserslautern, Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich (2 league titles, 2 DFB Cups and a Supercup). He earned 137 caps for Germany and scored 71 goals (record holder). He won the World Cup in 2014 and until recently was top scorer with (16 goals (now overtaken by Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé).

One of the best players in Lazio history. The only pity was he arrived late in his career.

He lifted the epic 2013 Coppa Italia as captain and also scored a derby winning goal in 2012. He served Lazio well for just over ten years.

In 2011 he was accused of match-fixing and suspended (even spending some time in jail) but was then proved innocent and returned to playing football.

He had previously played for Modena, Brescia and Udinese and he then had one last half season at Brescia.

He has his place in Lazio history engraved in stone for being in the team that won the 1974 Scudetto. A speedy, exciting and skilful winger who paired up well with Giorgio Chinaglia first and Bruno Giordano later but could also score goals himself (10 league goals in title winning season).

He was known for living the Roman night life but Tommaso Maestrelli turned a blind eye seeing Garlasca's performances on the Sunday.

He is one of the best players to have never won a cap for Italy as he had competition from Franco Causio and Claudio Sala who played for more fashionable northern clubs. For Lazio however he was a star.
