As we are getting closer to the top we now have some of the most iconic Lazio legends in the 11-20 positions in our top 100 Lazio players
He was at Lazio in two periods 1961-66 and 1967-71.
He won a Serie B and an Alps Cup. He was a refined midfielder who played as a playmaker. He was classy, elegant and played with both feet but could also defend. He was nicknamed "Il Professore". He is considered one of Lazio's best ever midfielders.
On retiring he became a journalist but worked for Lazio again from 1983-85 as sporting director and again under Sergio Cragnotti, until 2003. He then concentrated on his career as an author.
He was with Lazio from 1992-95. Despite several injuries he entered into the hearts and souls of Lazio fans. "Gazza" was different, like Lazio supporters, they loved him on and off the field. He was an attacking midfielder, strong, skillful, creative with a great pass. His upper body strength and great feet allowed him to glide past opponents.
He previously played for Newcastle and Tottenham and later for Rangers, Middlesbrough and Everton. He earned 57 caps for England with 10 goals.
Potentially one of Lazio's best players ever but loved unconditionally. His derby equaliser in the dying minutes and his solo goal at Pescara are folklore at Lazio. One of the most popular players in Lazio history.
He was with Lazio from 1900-1914. He was one of the Lazio pioneers and first captain. A natural athlete and runner he was a short but strong and agile forward. He scored a hat-trick in the first Roman derby against C.S Virtus in 1904. He was in the team that won three games in a single day on June 8 1908 and in a sense was Lazio's first superstar.
He was also Lazio coach from 1902-06 and in 1906-07 with Guido Baccani.
Apart from being a runner and goalscorer he was also a good swimmer and legend has it that he saved at least seven people in the Tiber who were trying to commit suicide.
He followed Lazio for the rest of his life with his Lazio membership card number 6. A true father until the end.
He was with Lazio from youth level and then from 1919-1926. He started as a goalkeeper and then evolved into a forward and later midfielder. He was an all-rounder but at Lazio played in goal until midway through the 1920-21 and then moved to striker, an extremely prolific one. He was a modern forward, tactically intelligent, could play with both feet, good shot and aerial skills and with leadership qualities.
His career continued with Inter, Roma and MATER. He earned 26 caps for Italy with 3 goals.
He however returned to Lazio as manager from 1958-60 and won the Biancocelesti's first historic silverware, the 1958 Coppa Italia. He then won league titles with Fiorentina and Bologna.
He also was Italy head coach from 1974-77.
"Fuffo", "Professore" or "Dottore" is one the few players/managers who are respected on both sides of the Tiber. No small feat.
He was with Lazio from 1955-58. He was a classy forward, quick, skilful with good dribbling abilities and a good header. He was also a model of sportsmanship.
He was an idol at Lazio and one of the best foreign players in their history.
Unfortunately due financial difficulties he then left for Roma and later Udinese who he had also joined Lazio from.
He earned 4 caps for Sweden with 1 goal and was runner-up in the 1958 World Cup
"Raggio di luna" (Moon Beam) is still loved at Lazio despite his unwilling transfer to Roma. He is one the few players to have scored for both teams in a derby (the others being Kolarov and Pedro).
He played for Lazio from 1972 -77. He was brought to Lazio by Tommaso Maestrelli from Foggia and was part of the epic league title winning team of 1974. He was a strong, athletic, tireless midfielder.
He earned 2 Italy caps and was part of the1974 World Cup squad but was an unused substitute.
He died tragically at 28, on January 18 1977, shot by a a trigger happy, on edge jeweller in his shop. We will never know the complete truth for sure but the memory of Cecco or Angelo Biondo will live on forever at Lazio. His last minute goal against Milan and his contribution to the Scudetto can never be cancelled.
He was with Lazio from 2015-2023. He won a Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa twice. He is Lazio's foreign player with the most goals. He is a midfielder who can defend and attack. A combination of physical strength and excellent skills. A complete player, with good aerial and shooting abilities who can produce assists but also score goals. One of the best midfielders in Lazio history.
He has 56 caps for Serbia with 9 goals.
He left for Al-Hilal but "Il Sergente" can still sometimes be seen at the Olimpico cheering Lazio on as a normal fan.
He was with Lazio briefly in 1954 and from 1955-61 but then never left.
He won Lazio's first ever silverware as captain, the 1958 Coppa Italia. He was a goalkeeper, one of the best of his generation, tall, safe with excellent positioning. His strong points were high balls which he punched away often sending the ball past the halfway line. He won 2 caps for Italy.
On retiring he stayed on at Lazio and did practically everything; talent scout, youth team coach, first team coach (winning a derby), assistant coach and technical director. He arrived in the mid-fifties as a northerner and he died in 2011 as a real Laziale, one of the best.
Lovati is an institution at Lazio, an icon. The Lazio Academy now bears his name
He was with Lazio from 1939-43, 1946-52 and 1953-54. He was an exceptionally talented and creative attacking midfielder. He was tall and thin and managed to mix South-American flair (he was originally from Argentina) with European pragmatism. He was a great assist man but also scored goals (including winning goals in two derbies).
"El Flaco" or Flacco as he was known in Rome is one of the best players ever to have worn a Lazio jersey. He then stayed on at Lazio and worked in the youth sector but also as assistant first team coach and even head coach (1960-61).
Flamini is definitely one of Lazio's all time greats.
He was with Lazio from 1999-2001 and won a Scudetto, a Coppa Italia, a Supercoppa and a UEFA Super Cup.
He was a midfielder who could play anywhere on the field, behind the forwards, in front of the defence or to the left or right of midfield. He had superb vision and passing skills (often within the outside of his feet) but could also win back possession and take dangerous freekicks and corners.
"La Bruja" (The Little Witch) previously played for Estudiantes, Boca Juniors, Sampdoria, Parma (a Coppa Italia and UEFA Cup) and later for Manchester United (a league title), Chelsea, Inter (a Scudetto and the Coppa Italia twice) and Estudiantes (2 league titles and a Copa Libertadores), a trophy laden career. He then became Estudiantes' Chairman.
He earned 72 caps for Argentina with 9 goals, playing in three World Cups.
Veron is one of the players in history who delighted Lazio fans the most. He only stayed two seasons but "La Luce" lit up the Lazio world for a lifetime.
