Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, Bologna
Bologna Lazio 0-2
Lazio continue their positive trend winning in Bologna thanks to a Taylor brace

The team
Maurizio Sarri was forced to do without Mattia Zaccagni, an umpteenth injury for this season. In his place he decided to put Pedro despite the fact the Spaniard had never been able to perform quite as well as a starter. Al least Alessio Romagnoli was back, taking his position next to Mario Gila. Sarri was suspended so his assistant Marco Ianni was on the bench.
Bologna in theory should have been tired having played 120 minutes in Europa League a few days prior. An opportunity for Lazio.

First half
The Biancocelesti had a good chance in the 9th minute. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to Adam Marusic who entered the box from the right but in trying to dribble past a defender the ball got away from him. Federico Ravaglia came out of the goal, Marusic tried a shot but the keeper was too close and the opportunity vanished. In the 19th minute Gustav Isaksen on the counter attack on the left, cross inside the box for Gila, the ball was cleared, Daniel Maldini from outside the penalty area tried a volley which went wide.
Bologna who had had most of the possession up to that point but had hardly ever been dangerous, in the 21st minute almost went ahead. Nikola Moro from thirty meters let go a ground-to-air missile which hit the crossbar. Special thanks to DAZN Italy who showed the shot from every possible angle in the universe at least 20 times each during the live match.
In the 28th minute Sarri was forced to send in Oliver Provstgaard in place of Gila injured.
Nothing much happened in the rest of the half. Lazio defended well and were potentially dangerous on the counter attack but found it hard to create concrete chances.
Second half
During the interval Tijani Noslin substituted Pedro.
The second half opened with a bang. In the 50th minute a terrible pass back to Edoardo Motta by Dele Bashiru allowed Santiago Castro to be alone in front of the young Biancoceleste keeper who fouled him. Penalty. Riccardo Orsolini stepped up to take the spot kick. Unlike the penalty missed in the Coppa Italia shoot out, this time he did not look at the goalkeeper. He shot low and angled but Motta was there and managed a fantastic save. Orsolini had another chance in the 59th minute with a volley but the Lazio keeper saved again. Immediately after great response from Ravaglia on an Isaksen shot.
In the 62nd minute there were a number of substitutions. For Bologna Dominguez and Cambiaghi took the place of Orsolini and Rowe, Matteo Cancellieri and Boulaye Dia came on for Isaksen and Maldini.
In the 72nd minute Lazio scored. Dia tried a shot from outside the box, it was deflected, the ball arrived to Kenneth Taylor who made it 1-0.
More substitutions for Bologna: Jhon Lucumì and Thijs Dallinga for Torbjorn Heggem and Federico Bernardeschi.
Cancellieri had a couple of chances but first his cross for Noslin in the 80th minute was cleared by Nadir Zortea and then a minute later, after a Lucumì fumble, he found himself in front of Ravaglia but literally just passed him the ball.
Then the Biancocelesti scored again. In the 82nd minute, Noslin to Dia on the left, ball to Taylor who went around the keeper and scored.
Bologna had a last chance with Martin Vitik who close to the byline on the right tried a shot but Motta saved and Marusic cleared.
Great win for Lazio.
